To those of you that are regular members of the Friary Church, it is not an easy task to always keep the Church Garden clean and tidy. A lot of the credit goes to John who has been maintaining the Church Garden and graveyard over some years. The Church car park is also looking cleaner since the grass was removed. Our sincere appreciations to all those who have beautified the Church by clearing the ground, planting flowers and adding various decorations.
To all of you that regularly attend the Friary it now just comes down to you and how much you are willing to do to help magnify the beauty of our church.
We would like to introduce the ‘Friary Garden Project’. The target of this project would be to create a beautiful landscape at the front of the Church and grow vegetables at the back of the Church, which can then be offered to the homeless.
If this sounds like something you’d like to take part in, we would like to give you, or each family, a space in the garden to grow some flowers.
If anyone works or has any contacts within a garden centre, or has any outdoor plants that you no longer need, then please hand them over to Sajith or the Parish Office.
Our Church is dedicated to St. Anthony and St. Francis of Assisi. As we all know, St. Francis was well known for his love of nature. Therefore, this invitation is also for all children, and we encourage you to take part.
If you want to offer a helping hand, please get in touch with Sajith by email: peirisajith@aol.co.uk or phone: 07800 878996. Many thanks.
